When Edward Snape met Richard Lewis 15 years ago and invited him on board to direct BBC’s pre-school show The Fimbles for the stage, little did they know that it would be the start of an exciting and long-lasting relationship.

The production was such a such success that Fierylight was born: a partnership between Fiery Angel and Limelight, Edward and Richard’s respective companies, with the ambition to create quality commercial work for young audiences.

Keen to replicate the success of The Fimbles we set out to win the rights to other popular preschool properties. Next came two productions of Lazytown – Magnus Scheving’s action- hero adventure. The shows were developed alongside the original creative team and sold-out Hammersmith Apollo as well as touring the UK.

And then in 2008 Fierylight met a very special pig. Working closely with the original creators Neville Astley, Mark Baker and Phil Davis, Peppa Pig’s Party became the first live Peppa Pig show adapted from the hugely popular TV series.

Five further Peppa Pig Live shows have followed, all featuring original music and scripts, touring the USA, Australia and the rest of the world with our original small hand held puppets becoming bigger with each production.

Another ABD created animation Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom was brought to life in 2012 complete with a jelly flood and Gaston the Ladybird!

Silvergate’s Undersea adventurers The Octonauts toured the UK and USA in 2014 and 2015 followed by the classic Teletubbies in 2017.

Fierylight was also involved with the Peppa Pig: My First Cinema experience in 2017, creating original live-action segments between episodes.

In 2019 we created a brand new Peppa Pig experience introducing children to the joys of classical music with Peppa Pig: My First Concert which sold out at the Southbank Centre’s Imagine Festival and created quite a stir with a toddler stage invasion!

During lockdown we worked with Little Angel Theatre to create a stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s The Smartest Giant in Town, which played to socially distanced audiences this summer and will tour the UK next Spring.
